Harryhausen's breakthrough films came in the 1960s. In 1963, he released Jason and the Argonauts, which featured some of the most groundbreaking stop-motion animation of its time. The film was a critical and commercial success, and it helped to establish Harryhausen as one of the leading animators in the world.

Harryhausen followed up Jason and the Argonauts with a string of other successful films, including One Million Years B.C. (1966),The Valley of Gwangi (1969),and The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1973). Later Career
